This book is PRICELESS to me! I perform for old folks at nursing home and they know and love every single song. This makes it easy for me because I am young and don't know any of these songs, so the fact that these best known ones are all together in one book saves me time. The arrangements are definitely not "easy" as in a beginner. I've been playing piano for 10 years and they take me maybe a few times playing through until I feel confident about the piece. But you definitely don't have to spend weeks learning them, The arrangement is great because yes it's "easy" arrangement, but they still sound advanced. GREAT BUY
I own most of the Simply series and love all of them. My dad was a big band leader so these tunes are all close to my childhood and my heart. The arrangement of 'Summertime' is one of the better versions I've seen. My favorite is Gershwin's 'Someone to Watch Over Me' because it actually has the intro to the song. For whatever reason, intros to songs, which were popular back in that time, are usually eliminated from modern day sheet music. I remember playing them decades ago from my dad's sheet music. So if you love the old standards, I highly recommend this book. 5 stars.
Arrangements are easy enough for an occasional player like me
Nice book of lots of easy play oldies. Purchased as a gift for my mother and she really likes it. Shorter versions for more selections can be played on the piano.
Bought for a memory care unit, they love the music. The piano music insidenis easy to play.
Print very readable with good size font and notes. Songs were musically simple but nice arrangements.Ordered this music to play for music fest at an assisted living. These songs were of their era but still timeless.
