I love handwork & this era of our history, so making the items you learn the colors used, the garment or item this work is for & a little history of why these were used & created. If you are a Civil War buff, one that is into reenactments or someone like me that loves handwork, this book is a must have for your library! however, the patterns are not actual size, but with the help of a printer, you can print the patterns in the size needed. the actual book is 6" wide & 7.5" tall so it fits perfectly in a project bag for handy reference.

I have a lot my great Aunt June's patterns and hooks and threads. Maybe I can duplicate some of her beautiful work!!

Now, when I take a new book to read I always wonder who wrote it. Is this person is trustworthy? is he a good Christian? What does other people know about him and his life? Those are important questions to ask. Fortunately, by God's providence I know the author personally. And I testify that he is a trustworthy and mature Christian, who won't lie or exaggerate facts. By his own life he is showing an example of a person who trusts in the Lord. I highly recommend this book.The book was given to me for my honest review.

I'm not sure what audience Beasley was writing for. I mean, what Christian doesn't love Proverbs 3:5&6? Who hasn't looked to it for God's promise of direction? I guess that's why I expected the book would highlight God's trustworthiness. Instead, the author focused on our shortcomings. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with what he says. I guess I'm just not the audience he was aiming at.

The illustrations in the book serve effectively to make the ideas clear. As a pastor of over 30 years, I highly recommend this work. It is a valuable work for people who are struggling to understand the ups and downs of the Christian life. The section on the attributes of God is good introduction to knowing God as he as revealed himself in the Bible. This is an excellent work for both the new and older Christian. It is also helpful for those who are simply curious as to what Christians believe.The book was given to me for my honest review.

He was just coming out in the music business pretty good and headlining at one of the casinos in Biloxi. I had gone down to the just plain old buffet to eat and there he was. I'm not even sure why I knew his name. I was in front of him and turned around and I said "You're Blake Shelton". He smiled a sweet grin and said yes ma'am. I said, "You sure are a tall drink a water aren't you?" He said and you sure have on alot of diamond rings. I said "naaww they're just cz's" He said, " Ma'am, I don't mean to be rude, but from where I come from you can't pull the wool over my eyes". I started to pay for my dinner and he said I have that. I said you don't have to do that and he said you've been nice, you haven't asked for my autograph and you made polite conversation and I appreciated every minute of it. So I went to see his show and was blown away.The man has heart. He pours his soul into every song he sings and he means it. You can see it in his eyes and he enjoys what he does. I have bought everything he's put out and haven't been disappointed once. Neither will you.

I went to my first Blake Shelton concert while on vacation in Calgary, Canada. I didn't know any of his music but have seen him on The Voice. (One of my friends booked the concert and is a huge fan.) It was his first time performing at the Stampede and he played almost every song on this CD. He's a great performer and knowing these songs was great!

I LOVE Blake Shelton and was very excited to get this for my record player. I ordered this 2 times and both times the album skipped non-stop. I was very upset, but when comparing it with my other vinyl records, this one is very flimsy which could be why it is not working. I will have to purchase this at a store for better quality perhaps? I have never written a review, but after 2 purchases and it not working, I thought I should let others know.

I was born and raised in WVA. Country music was all there was on the radio. Then - I hated it and couldn't bare to listen. I turned to rock and roll. Recently today's new country has given me new found greater satisfaction. Country is all about the lyric's and Blake Shelton's work here is tremendous. Blake is an extremely talented artist. I wouldn't describe it as moaning Lisa but it's close!! If you like Kenny Chseney and Luke Bryan you will like Blake - they complement each other. Best of the best. This collection speaks for itself. Go get-em Blake!

I'll admit. I didn't listen to Blake much until The Voice...or so I thought. I bought this album and was surprised at so many songs I've heard before and really liked, but didn't even know it was him. Songs like Some Beach, Home (the reason I bought this album - I didn't even know it was him singing but have loved it ever since it came out on the radio), Ol' Red...would probably end up listing most of them. If you like Blake Shelton, this is a must buy. But now I'm wondering if I should just buy all of them. He has such a great voice that it's hard not to like most of his songs.

If you enjoy the music of Blake Shelton, you will love this Cd. It has all my favorite songs on it ,and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys Blake Shelton,and Country music.I can't stop listening to it, especially "Some Beach ,Some Where!"

I don't like Blake Shelton as much as I thought I would - based on his songs on "The Voice."

Can't stop singing these songs. It is a must have. I was not familiar with Blake before I bought this I just remembered the song Home, but it is packed with hits I love it

All 4 of our children are in the double digits; so this has been an ideal devotional for our "God and I" times in the mornings! Each teen takes weekly turns reading for the day. Then, whatever verse for the day is, we read the entire chapter together as well. (We divide up the number of verses in the chapter, and we read a section of verses at a time.I've actually seen improvement over the summer in our youngest's reading ability! :)

I bought the book because I liked the pages I was able to see; my 16 year-old daughter tells me this book makes her feel like Jesus is her best friend and speaking directly to her heart.

The devotion is gets me in reading the bible, and praying. At the end there is a prayer for you to recite, but unlike most devotions there is no amen, it encourages you to elaborate. I am closer to God because of the devotion and I am only on Day 21.Recommend it to all teens and some young adults.

I would really recommend this one for your teen! My son actually seems to like it as he said some of it is real life stuff he confronts on any given day. Not that he lets us see him study it ...we know he does... as the pages are dog eared!!!

My son is 15 and we read this every night. It gives you the verse and then a quick explanation like Jesus is talking directly to you then the prayer. I like it because there are no stories from babyboomers trying to relate to today's teens! Often the verse and the following is enough and my son will spontaneously go into his own prayer. I highly recommended this as a brief but powerful tool to keep your mind on God.

My 15 year old asked for a new devotional after finishing the one she had. After researching and reviewing other devotionals for teens on Amazon, I was drawn to this one. She loves it!! The readings and scriptures have the perfect balance, and relate to issues/topics that teens face in the modern world. Would definitely buy this for other teens as a gift!

Recently purchased this for my Granddaughter, she is going to love this book. After I read some of the pages, I just know this will be so good for her. This book is awesome for uplifting your spirits each day you read it. For each day, it starts you off with a Bible verse, then a little passage that speaks from God's point of view directly to you, and finally there is a prayer reminding you of God's love and how we must try to be more like him, and other things too! Great book! :)
